“BELIEVE”
In 2009, with her daughter growing up, Hannah, a Canadian immigrant from Pakistan reflects on her relationship with her own mother who was a prayer warrior gifted with many spiritual gifts, wondering how she can become more like her.
During prayer at church, Hannah asks God to speak to her and receives a supernatural heavenly message directly from Him like never before. God opens her spiritual eyes and tells her He wants her to use her, giving her spiritual gifts to do a special task and important mission work while she is on the earth.
At home, Hannah arranges a prayer corner, unsure of how God means to use her, but determined to spend more time in prayer, fasting, worship and Bible reading. After her encounter with God, He begins waking her in the early morning hours, talking with her and showing her visions around the world that she can pray for. Three visions in particular pertain to a man about to run for president in the United States and God inspires her to pray for him.
Hannah shares these visions with her husband and church friends, but they are concerned it may be a result of stress or mental illness. Feeling hurt and abandoned by her friends, she prays and asks God for guidance and honor. She decides that rather than tell others about what she sees, she will sit at God’s feet, fast, pray and spend time in His presence to have quiet time and listen to Him only.
As 2016 arrives, Hannah learns to better understand the visions she receives from God. In one, she sees stingrays swimming in clear green water, among all the stingrays, one with the face of a man and the other a woman. In a second vision, she sees the woman trying to harm the man and push him out, but he is unharmed and smiles happily among the stingrays. In a third vision, she hears the audible voice of God say “Florida” and she searches the internet to find out where it is.
Each vision coincides with developments in the election as Donald Trump becomes a nominee and then the official candidate for the presidency. Having been asked by God to “pray for a man” who is bold, strong and courageous to stand with God’s people and nation, Hannah continues to pray for him.
As the election nears, Hannah decides to host a party, keeping faith that this man will win against all odds. Hannah watches the election with her family and friends. They praise God and celebrate as his win is announced as the 45th President of the United States. Hannah thanks God for all of his grace and mercies.
John 17:20-21: Jesus Prays for All Believers
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
